Answer:

The given square value is 74.

Procedure 1:

Estimate the nearer value of 74.The nearer perfect square root  value is 8 ( 8*8 = 64 ).

Procedure 2:

The nearest value is divide the given square value as 74/8 = 9.25.

Procedure 3:

The average between nearer value and answer of division is 8.625.

Multiply the this value twice as 8.625 x 8.625 = 74.390. This value is equal to 74. Therefore, the square root of a number 74 is 8.625.
